About Blue Horizon Oasis

Blue Horizon Oasis was born on the beaches of beautiful Southern California during a magnificent sunset. If you look over the waves into that Blue Horizon, or into the dark blue night sky, you can imagine the endless possibilities that await you when you take that first step in any direction. The same holds true for humanity in the seemingly endless body of Nuit.

We envision Blue Horizon Oasis as a body of men and women who strive to develop their fullest potential... to take advantage of these endless possibilities, whatever those may be for each individual. Most of our events take a hands-on approach, be it our workshops, classes, or our fraternal gatherings and feasts. So if you have any ideas for classes, workshops or events, let us know!

Blue Horizon Events

We offer a variety of semi-public and public events, including performances of the Gnostic Mass, various rites, classes and of course initiation into Ordo Templi Orientis. If you are interested in attending any of our events, please consult our events page for a list of upcoming events. You may also consult our long-term calendar for a list of special events and initiations that are offered more than three months in the future.

The Law of Thelema

Ordo Templi Orientis, of which Blue Horizon is a part, is a fraternal organization whose members are devoted to the study of Magick, Yoga and the Hermetic Sciences, and who are united in their acceptance of the Law of Thelema as a gateway to self-discipline, self-knowledge and universal freedom. The Law of Thelema may be summarized in a few deceptively simple words as "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law."

We believe that, like all things, the best way to study and practice is to just do them! We are based out of Glendale, California, and our main objective is to promulgate the Law of Thelema through Love, Fraternity and hard Work.

New To Thelema?

Many of our events are open to non-members of Blue Horizon Oasis as well as members and initiates of Ordo Templi Orientis. In fact, we recommend that if you are not a member but are interested in joining, that you come to a few events first to see if it's the sort of energy you want to be involved with.

As a majority of our events are held in a private home in Glendale, we ask that the privacy of the home-owners be respected. But if you wish to attend, please e-mail us at newcomer@bluehorizon-oto.org, and we'll be more than happy to send you directions and/or answer your questions.
